A three day conference and exhibition focussing on exploring the opportunities on circular economy will be held at ExCel in London, UK, from 4 – 6 March.

Resource, is a conference wholly dedicated to the future of the so-called circular economy which, according to the event’s website “…represents a fundamental shift for businesses: away from a so-called ‘linear’ model where resources are extracted, made into products and disposed of, to a model where products are remade, repaired, resold, or recycled.”

The event looks to holistically connect the whole, industrial supply chain ranging from design, extraction, recycling, resource recovery and even manufacturing and aims introduce them to the simple optimised opportunities of the circular economy and the business models revolving within this sphere that they can capitalise on.

Over 3000 professional visitors are expected to attend  and the event will feature over 100 leading speakers with experience of circular economy focusing on areas such as: about waste minimisation, the move towards a circular economy, closed loop and alternative business models, design, packaging, remanufacturing and partnership forming. During the three day conference,12 free practical workshops will simultaneously be held and the event will also provide participants with immense opportunities for networking through the speed networking sessions.

The main reason for holding this conference is the belief held by the organisers that there is an urgency to act now to insulate the supply chain against volatility and the threat of uncertain supply and to harness the potentials of effective waste management, which is now a valuable energy and a material supply source.
