RESET Lost in Space? As If!

As we sit at our computers each day and plug in information, via RESET.org, into the endless chasm that is the World Wide Web, we sometimes ask ourselves why we do it and who's listening. And then things like this happen: not only did an events company recently donate a large sum of money to RESET, they also put an end to their working relationship with Monsanto. How did it happen?

As we sit at our computers each day and plug in information, via RESET.org, into the endless chasm that is the World Wide Web, we sometimes ask ourselves why we do it and who’s listening. And then things like this happen: not only did an events company recently donate a large sum of money to RESET, they also put an end to their working relationship with Monsanto. How did it happen? Read for yourself.

Turning information into action: after events company OptiMICE (from the central German town of Langenfeld) read the German version of our Knowledge article The Privatisation of Seeds, they no longer had the desire to work with Monsanto, the Bad Guys of the agricultural sector who are known for their brutal business practices. From restricting access to seeds to the creation of dependencies via the distribution of hybrid seeds and genetically modified crops, Monsanto continues to increase its stranglehold on the industry making it all the more important to withdraw any support of the company, as OptiMICE has just done.

We are pleased that Monsanto has one less location in Germany and would like to say a heartfelt thank you to OptiMICE for their generous donation. Naturally, we are feeling inspired to support more people with our work, not just in helping to gain a different perspective but to also take action.
