Looking to head to the Green Campus Summit in Pondicherry next month? Registrations for attendees close this Sunday 10 March.

The Summit will draw upon insights from its more than 300 delegates in order to create a dialogue about the need for educational institutions to implement sustainable practices. Representatives from universities, organisations and governments will all take part in an effort to foster relationships and exchange ideas on topics such as curriculum innovation and development, action research and practical projects.

The Summit will analyse a number of environmental and sustainability-related topics, looking at how they apply to educational institutions, including:

  • outreach programmes;
  • sustainable management of water resources;
  • energy efficiency and green energy;
  • solid waste/ hazardous waste/ toxic waste management;
  • food services and food security;
  • biodiversity conservation and habitat restoration;
  • green buildings;
  • sustainable transportation; and
  • integration of technology for campus sustainability.
