"Call me on my mobile". A mantra repeated by billions of people every day. The attraction is great and the advertisements do the rest in pushing the latest phones with the temptation of new features and great looks. The fact that the telephone we use is still working is inconsequential. We don't spend much time to think about what it takes to produce a new mobile phone and what the ecological and social repurcussions of our purchases may be. The onus of responsibility lies not only on the manufacturer but also equally on the consumer who drives the manufacturing cycle.
