The team behind Ecosummit is calling on all renewable energy and green tech entrepreneurs to submit their business to the annual Ecosummit awards.
Ecosummit will take place for the seventh time, from 3-4 June in Berlin. Acting as a connecting point for cleantech startups, investors and enterprises, Ecosummit helps engineers, energy specialists and forward-thinkers to parlay their environmentally-conscious technological ideas into successful business ventures.
For the third time, organisers will be offering fledgling sustainable enterprises the chance to win financial support and the opportunity to have their startup reviewed by a panel of experts (the jury) as part of the Ecosummit Award 2014.
The format will differ slightly from previous editions with no Facebook voting arm this year. Rather, entrants will be judged solely by the independent jury and will compete for a gold, silver or bronze place as well as cash prizes between 1,000 – 3,000 EUR.
Last year, the winners included UK/US-based firm Sefaira (UK/US) for their smart green-building software; Tado (Germany) for their smart green heating control; and Solarbattery (Germany) for their successful residential energy storage solution. Japanese firm Pirika took out the audience-voted prize for their app that encourages people to clean up litter.
