Hernán PiñeraThe Renewable Transformation Challenge Award recognises innovation in the field of green energy.
Launched by Elsevier and the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), the Renewable Transformation Challenge Award is for projects, new technology, product ideas, research or policy initiatives that demonstrate how we can successfully transition to a world run on 100% renewable energy.
Whether you've a concept of energy generation or a new approach to energy efficiency, entries are welcome from both supply and demand programmes that have to do with end-use energy consumption, such as power, heat and transport. Initiatives are welcomed from local, regional, national and global levels.
A panel of international experts will judge applications based on their applicability, impact, sustainability and scalability. The jury will also look at projects' suitability for use in developing countries, and their social impacts on local communities.
A cash prize of 20,000 EUR, promotion on the Solar Energy journal homepage and on the ISES website, as well as one lifetime membership to the International Solar Energy Society, are all up for grabs.
