The three-day hackathon, which will bring 48 participants together to work on six challenges that tackle specific issues in India, is on the hunt for solutions that are easy to implement and execute and specifically meet the country’s needs.
Individuals from across the professional spectrum – from corporate professionals to social workers – have been invited to apply to take part .
The event is Delhi’s first social hackathon, with each of the challenges designed, created and supported by the partners Acumen, Creativedge & “I Say Organic” and hosted by Karmany, Teach for India’s Delhi Alumni and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), which will be also the event hosting venue.
The event looks to provide participants with an understanding of the design thinking principles with the aim of getting people to implement this user-focused framework to come up with actionable solutions that can make a positive impact on the community. The participants will work under the banner of “Conscious Living” and the outcomes of the event will be carried out by the supporting organisations.
The last date for applying to the social design jam is July 25; for more details you can also visit the Social Design Jam homepage here.
