Ben & Jerry’s is once again searching for clever and fair business ideas that could change the world and will work with select teams to provide major support for their crowdfunding campaigns. Have we piqued your interest? Then register before 16 March 2015.

The ice cream team are looking for ideas that strike the right balance between both social and economic goals. Applications must be able to demonstrate a large potential for innovation; how the idea will make a positive social or environmental impact as well as projections for long-term financial stability. Ben & Jerry’s is particularly calling for climate-friendly ideas that they can take to the UN climate conference in Paris later this year.

Why should you take part? Five finalists from each country will be coached in how to develop an effective crowdfunding campaign. From there, one or two winners will be chosen and will receive 10,000 € to put towards their campaign.

The ‘Join Our Core‘ competition, run in partnership with Ashoka, is inspired by the ice emporium’s founders, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield who in 1978 chose to start a company that prioritised profit, product quality and social impact with equal worth.
