Supporting Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Development (SEED) is inviting applications from entrepreneurs who have concepts and ideas that contribute to the sustainable development of their local areas.
The SEED Initiative is a global partnership for action on sustainable development and the green economy. SEED supports innovative small-scale and locally driven entrepreneurs around the globe who integrate social and environmental benefits into their business model from the outset.
Founded by the UNEP, UNDP, and IUCN as a partnership, SEED looks for and supports entrepreneurs who possess great leadership and whose ideas demonstrate innovation within sustainability. With the aim of promoting social and environmental entrepreneurship at the grassroots level, SEED has been enhancing the ability of entrepreneurs through their annual SEED awards.
The SEED awards do not offer any money prize, instead offering the winners a range of services, support programmes and opportunities to network and make connections so that the winners can access a bigger and a better platform to demonstrate and enhance their skills.
The requirement to participate in the award process is that the applicant should have an entrepreneurial idea that is locally-driven and has great potential to contribute to sustainable development in countries with developing or transition economies.
SEED is inviting applications from social and environmental entrepreneurs who can demonstrate innovation, leadership and sustainability.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 8 April 2014!
