Global campaign and activist organisation the Sum of Us is currently offering fellowships to people with a thirst for social justice. Sound interesting? Read on for details.

The Sum of Us is calling on all people from all walks life to apply for its Rising Voices Fellowship. If you got a knack for turning people’s attention on to social issues or if you wish to sink your teeth into humanitarian or environmental causes, this could well be your ticket.

Successful applicants will learn the ins and outs of rapid-response campaigning including maximising the use of tools such as social media and petitions and, importantly, how to get the powers that be to sit up and take notice of your campaign.

The fellowship is particularly targeted towards people who have roots in or strong ties to communities that have faced race or ethnicity-based discrimination.

The fulltime fellowship can be undertaken wherever you are (the work is remote and lasts from 4 November to 20 December) and remuneration is based on wages in the country you are living in. If you’d like to apply, you’ll need to be quick – applications close this Friday 4 October. Head to their website for details.
