A colourful composite of creative ideas, forward-thinking and reflections from the community, Caleidoscope offers a more personalised look at contemporary culture, everyday environmentalism and civic engagement. With their latest “Eco-Ideaz” campaign, they are looking to showcase the absolute best of local innovation and ideas promoting sustainable living.

We are beyond excited to announce that we have partnered up with the team at Caleidoscope. Via its online platform, caleidoscope.in, the team publishes articles, stories and essays on all manner of topics including travel, environmentalism, volunteering and culture, capturing elements of 21st century Indian Zeitgeist and immortalising them in words and images before they become past tense. Though we are still working out the finer details of our partnership, we can’t wait to get started and help spread the word about sustainability and its applicability to everyday life.

Nominate a Local Green Idea as Part of Caleidoscope’s Eco-Ideaz Contest

Their latest contest, titled Eco-Ideaz, places Indian innovation in the spotlight, in particular the plethora of local ideas and technologies which promote sustainability.  The Caleidoscope team is encouraging anybody and everybody to identify or nominate the most eco-friendly product or service created in India that they are aware of either by sending in a case study or brief, one-line description of the product/service. All nominees go into the draw to win one of five cash prizes ranging in worth from 500 – 5,000 Rs.

Winners are selected based on both a public vote as well as an independently-juried vote  made by a team of ecologists. Get all the info on how to take part (be quick, submissions close 1 June!) on their website and take a squiz at their impressive catalogue of articles.
