About RESET
RESET – Digital for Good
At RESET our world revolves around digital social and green innovations for sustainable development. Our focus is on ideas, projects and companies that use smart solutions to create positive change. On the RESET.org platform we showcase trends and case studies and provide background information, while as a not-for-profit organisation RESET supports ecopreneurs and social entrepreneurs with our expertise.
The Sustainability Platform RESET.org
Green mobility, sustainable cities, conscious consumption, digital refugee relief, innovative development cooperation – at RESET.org we give daily reports on smart solutions from around the world. We provide background knowledge on the most pressing problems of our time – and suggest ways that you can help.
That's why we've committed ourselves to the principles of constructive journalism and have taken it upon ourselves to use RESET.org to inspire positive change, take a critical look at current developments in the field of sustainability and above all, demonstrate possible alternatives and solutions.
But why the focus on sustainability and digitisation?
Smart Approaches to Sustainable Development
We believe in the potential that digitisation holds for sustainability. Why? Here are three good reasons!
Impact not entertainment: in a world where more people have mobile phones than access to clean drinking water, we see digital social and green innovations as having huge potential for sustainable development. Through clever networking and easily accessible information we can find new solutions to age old problems.
Digital for Good: in more and more places around the world, new technologies are being used to make the world a more liveable place. With the use of the right app, each of us can help to conserve valuable resources. Small farmers in African and Asian countries can be helped out of poverty by receiving information via smartphone about market prices, the weather, and tips on pest control. Smart grids can help push forward the shift to renewable energies. And drones can play an important part in wildlife protection and reforestation.
Sustainability 4.0: as well as classic aid organisations and well-known foundations, more and more young ecopreneuers, social entrepreneurs, green tech startups and creative activists are taking action to create a world that’s equipped for the future. With RESET.org we offer them a wide-reaching platform.
Sustainability Knows No Borders
RESET's editorial department is based in Berlin, so it makes sense for us to have a slightly European perspective when it comes to picking our content. But environmental protection and social justice are topics that affect us all – and there are smart solutions being developed all over the world. It's our objective to inform and inspire a global community and to bring people together to address today's issues. Our German- and English-speaking team ensures that RESET.org is available not only to a national but also an international audience.
International: USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, India, Sri Lanka, China, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa and other countries around the world.
Europa: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
Green Impact Finance – RESET Supports Entrepreneurs
Ecopreneurs and social entrepreneurs are revitalising our economic system by combining economic thinking with a sense of responsibility for society and the environment. We want to take this development further, to transform our society piece by piece. That's why RESET supports green and social entrepreneurs by reporting on them, advising them on critical issues and actively helping them to raise growth capital.

Sustainability Since 2007
RESET has many years of experience in the field of smart green innovations. The not-for-profit organisation RESET was set up in 2007 by German entrepreneurs Uta Mühleis and Bodo Kräter.

Uta studied environmental and developmental politics and has worked with digital media since the mid 90’s. Bodo has more than 25 years’ experience of project management for international TIMES (Telecommunications, Internet, Media, E-Business, Service Provider) corporations, and his expertise is actively integrated into RESET’s work. The international team of authors at RESET.org brings together a wide range of different skills, united by the urgent need to discover and demonstrate new paths towards a liveable and sustainable future.
RESET’s contribution has been recognised multiple times, including by UNESCO, the GreenTecAwards and the initiative “Germany - Land of Ideas”.
How ist RESET financed?
In order to keep our work going, we rely on three central sources of financing: the first of these is our sponsors and the second is the partial funding that we receive when we offer our expertise to ecopreneurs and social entrepreneurs. Because our site is free from advertisements and content marketing of any kind (and we want to keep it that way!) our third source of financing is donations from our community.
Want to support the work we do? Fantastic! Here's our donation page.
